WALLACE, William

Fabled Scottish leader and warrior for independence with victorious battles against the English both north and south of the border. Limited contemporary documentation has not reduced the esteem in which he is held or the imagination of the film industry. Irrespective of historicity, this is a telling example of the power of myth to present a moral message.
