GOLLANCZ, Victor

Publisher and political campaigner. Whilst rejecting his orthodox Jewish background, the motivation for the humanitarian causes he promoted derived from its moral roots. These causes included the Radical Research Group, the Left Book Club, the Jewish Society for Human Service (including Arab Relief), the National Campaign for the Abolition of Capital Punishment, War on Want and the Campaign for Nuclear Disarmament.
