BROOKE, Rupert
- Era: 1887 - 1915
- Location: England
- Categories: LITERATURE
Poet best known for his writing and dying during the early years of World War 1. His youthful idealism is somewhat tempered by his honest musing in life, exemplified in the comic touch in his poem Heaven. There is tragic irony in his death as the result of a mosquito bite whilst still journeying to what would have become warfare trenches.
